Being in lock-down during the COVID-19 pandemic provides an opportunity to explore other aspects of our hobby/obsession. Following on from my blog post on the drawing and painting of trout I wondered what YouTube resources there were available to assist with the drawing and painting of fly fishing flies were available. This would allow me to develop a diary akin to that of Muriel Foster with pictures of fish and flies relating to my fishing forays and adventures.
Unfortunately, there aren’t as many resources available, for what is a bit of a niche subject I suppose. The resources below are the best of what is available. You should also checkout Jeff Kennedy’s blog where he drew a fly everyday for a year. That has really got me thinking …. draw a fish/fly everyday for a year?
